A slope, abbreviated as m, is a line between two points, x1,y1 and x2,y2.

Slope Formula

\(\large{ slope = \frac{rise}{run} }\)

\(\large{ m = \frac{y}{x} }\)

\(\large{ m = \frac{1}{r_h} \; \left(  \frac{v}{C}  \right)^2  }\)

Where:

\(\large{ m }\) = slope

\(\large{ C }\) = Chezy coefficient

\(\large{ r_h }\) = hydraulic radius

\(\large{ y }\) = rise

\(\large{ x }\) = run

\(\large{ v }\) = flow velocity
