Speed is the rate of change or distance with time.  Speed is a scalar quantity having no direction.  Speed is not velocity, they do not mean the same thing.

Formulas that use Speed

\(\large{ s = \frac{ d }{ t }   }\)

\(\large{ s }\) = speed

\(\large{ d }\) = distance

\(\large{ t }\) = time
