Length differential is the difference between an expanded or reduced length of an object.

Length Differential formula

\(\large{ \Delta l = l_f \;- \; l_i  }\)

Where:

\(\large{ \Delta l  }\) = length differential

\(\large{ l_f  }\) = final length

\(\large{ l_i  }\) = initial length
