Specific Weight

Specific weight is the weight per unit volume of a substance.

Specific Weight formula

\(\large{ \gamma = \rho \; g }\)

Where:

\(\large{ \gamma }\)  (Greek symbol gamma) = specific weight

\(\large{ \rho }\)  (Greek symbol rho) = density

\(\large{ g }\) = gravitational acceleration (9.80665 m/s2 or 32.1740 ft/s2)
