Pressure gradient, abbreviated as \(p_g\), is a dimensionless number describing which direction and at what rate the pressure changes the most at a specific location.


Formulas that use Pressure Gradient

\(\large{ \frac{ d p  }{ d x}   =   \frac{ \Delta p  }{ \Delta x }  }\)   


\(\large{ d }\) = differential

\(\large{ x }\) = distance

\(\large{ \Delta x }\) = distance differential, distance between pressures

\(\large{ p }\) = pressure

\(\large{ \Delta p }\) = pressure differential
