Capacitance, abbreviated as C or CAP, is the ability to hold an electric charge.

Capacitance Formula

\(\large{  C = \frac{Q}{V}  }\)

Where:

\(\large{ C }\) = capacitance

\(\large{ Q }\) = electrical charge that is stored on the capacitor

\(\large{ V }\) = potential difference (the voltage between the capacitor's plates)

Solve for:

\(\large{ Q = C \; V  }\)

\(\large{ V = \frac{ Q }{ C }  }\)
