Chezy Coefficient Formula

(Eq. 1)  \(\large{ C = \frac {v_m} { \sqrt  { \; r_h \; m }   }   }\)

(Eq. 2)  \(\large{ C = \frac {1} {n} \; r_h^{1/6}   }\)

Where:

\(\large{ C }\) = Chezy coefficient

\(\large{ r_h }\) = hydraulic radius

\(\large{ v_m }\) = mean velocity

\(\large{ n }\) = roughness coefficient

\(\large{ m }\) = slope

Solve for:

\(\large{ r_h = \left( C \; n \right)^6  }\)

\(\large{ n = \frac {1} {C} \; r_h^{1/6}   }\)
