Darcy Velocity

Darcy velocity, abbreviated as v, also called Darcy flux, is the volumetric flow per unit area of a porous mediun.

Darcy Velocity or Flux Formula

\(\large{ v =  k \; i   }\)         

Where:

\(\large{ v }\) = Darcy velocity or flux

\(\large{ k }\) = hydraulic conductivity

\(\large{ i }\) = hydraulic gradient

Solve for:

\(\large{ k =  \frac{v}{i}   }\)

\(\large{ i =  \frac{v}{k}   }\)
