Water Horsepower formula

\(\large{ WHP = \frac {Q \; h}{3960} }\)

Where:

\(\large{ WHP }\) = water horsepower

\(\large{ BHP }\) = brake horsepower

\(\large{ Q }\) = flow rate discharge

\(\large{ h }\) = total head

\(\large{ n }\) = total pump efficiency

Solve for:

\(\large{ BHP = \frac {100 \; Q \; h}{3960 \; n} }\)

\(\large{ Q = \frac {3960 \; WHP}{h} }\)

\(\large{ h = \frac {3960 \; WHP}{Q} }\)

\(\large{ n = \frac {WHP}{BHP} }\)
