# Heat Convection

Heat transfer by convection, abbreviated as CONVN, is the transfer of heat by air, water, or any other substance that passes over an object, the surface having a higher temperature than the one passing over itThis is one of four types of to heat transfer: mixing, conduction, convection and radiation.

### Heat Convection formula

$$Q = h \; A \; \left( T_h - T_c \right)$$

Where:

$$Q$$ = heat transfer by convection

$$h$$ = heat transfer coefficient

$$A$$ = cross sectional area

$$T_h$$ = higher temperature

$$T_c$$ = cooler temperature
